The 2015 Gettysburg College baseball season is over. It is sad to acknowledge, but there is plenty to be proud of. The 2015 team:
-Won 20 games, their fourth straight year with at least 20 wins.
-Graduated their winningest Senior Class in the history of Gettysburg College Baseball, with an overall record of 109-48.
-Finished tied 4th in the regular season, with a 9-9 record in conference.
-Had 3 All-Centennial Conference recognitions.
-Had 4 All-Centennial Conference Honor Roll Honorees.
-Had a Centennial Conference Sportsmanship Team Member.
-Had 2 All-Region recognitions.
-Raised $12,000 for Project ALS and ALS research – Also held “Project ALS” day vs Haverford College.
It is at this time the team would like to thank all of the supporters of the 2015 team and all those who helped raise money for Project A.L.S. There would not have been as many “Ws”, or as much money donated to ALS research if it was not for each and every one of you. We could not thank you enough. With that being said, the team owes a special thank you to a few people:
-Firstly, the Kirchhoffs. This fundraiser would be impossible without the prescence and support. The whole “gang” came out to “Project ALS” day and just demonstrated what a beautiful (inside & out) family they are. We wish them a healthy and happy summer!
-Second, the Borman family. We cannot thank them enough for their support for the program and were happy to see the “gang” at “Project ALS Day.” It was an amazing day all around and we cannot thank them enough.
-The third is Project A.L.S. We could not have been luckier to have teamed up with such an amazing organization and for such an amazing cause.
-The fourth are all the people that made this fundraiser possible: Kelly Jones, who helped us order the hats and patches/stickers; Coach Campo, who provided abundant support; President Riggs, who came out to Project ALS day and gave a speech on behalf of the cause.
We would like to wish everyone a happy and safe summer! We wish our Seniors all the best of luck as they take on the real world. Please continue to follow the website and the initiative as we continue to keep fighting ALS and raising funds for Project ALS and research. Look out for updates and please spread the word about the cause!
Best wishes,
Gettysburg College Baseball. Go Bullets!
