Dear Gettysburg Baseball family and friends,
We are excited to announce that Gettysburg Baseball will be continuing the Take ALS Yard initiative for the 2023-2024 season! Our senior coordinators for this year will be Pat Clementi (P – King of Prussia, PA), David Preziuso (OF – Middletown, DE), and Cole Wong (P – New York, NY). Last year’s coordinators Preston Toothman and Andrew Weinbrum did an amazing job, surpassing the $10,000 goal and raising the total Take ALS Yard contribution to over $140,000! Thank you to all who donated and contributed to a successful campaign!
First and foremost, we would like to thank the Borman and Kirchhoff families for their maintained support of our cause. We would also like to thank Coach Campo, who facilitated the beginning of this movement ten years ago in 2013, as well as Coach Beddick for continuing this tradition.
This year, our goal is to raise over $12,000, an increase from last year’s goal of $10,000. To start off our campaign, we are planning on holding a 3v3 Basketball tournament in the fall to raise funds before the baseball season begins. We are also hoping to sell t-shirts and hats with an updated logo, which we are extremely excited about! Because it is so early in the fall semester, we have been discussing additional fundraising events, so be on the lookout for more information!
The money we raise goes directly to Project ALS which funds amyotrophic lateral sclerosis research. We hope you will help us raise money and awareness for ALS in honor of Tommy Kirchhoff and Robert Borman, who were members of our Gettysburg Baseball Family.
Donations are always accepted, so please visit Project ALS to donate online!
Again, thank you to everyone who has contributed to this wonderful cause! We will provide any new information as it comes, and we are looking forward to a successful campaign! We hope to see you all in the Spring!
